Maak je eigen botanische aquarel onder begeleiding van beeldend kunstenaar Glafira Taratynova van ‘The Muses` Grove’ in Artland.
Ontdek je passie voor natuur en kunst door deze te vertalen naar een handgetekend en handgeschilderd werk op papier. Tijdens de workshop gaan de deelnemers en de docent samen op zoek naar inspiratie, in boeken en naar de door de kunstenaar meegebrachte planten of vruchten. Na het ontwikkelen van ideeën begint iedereen met het samenstellen van de elementen op papier en het tekenen van de vormen. De potloodtekening wordt iets uitgegumd zodat deze nog wel zichtbaar is, maar niet door de verf heen schijnt. Omdat transparantie het belangrijkste kenmerk van aquarel is, zal de groep zich concentreren op het beheersen van de sneldrogende dunne verflagen door te schilderen op droog aquarelpapier van 300 gsm. Na deze workshop krijgt u een prachtig schilderij mee naar huis, dat u deze kunt inlijsten en in uw woonkamer kunt ophangen!

Wat neem ik mee naar huis? De deelnemers krijgen een met aquarel geschilderd botanisch kunstwerk mee naar huis op 24x32cm dik aquarelpapier.
Locatie: Artland Kasteel Strijthagen (Rouenhof 19, 6372PW, Landgraaf). Op de dag zelf wordt bepaald waar de workshop plaatsvindt (in de expositiezaal/cafe/kasteel of bij mooi weer buiten in het Beeldenpark).
Wie is de kunstdocent? The Muses’ Grove is een project van botanische en dierlijke hedendaagse kunstwerken van beeldend kunstenaar Glafira Taratynova. The Muses’ Grove onderzoekt haar passie voor de natuur door momenten van ontzag te vertalen in ingewikkelde linosneden, waarbij elke snede de essentie van de natuurlijke wereld weerspiegelt. De fascinatietaferelen geschilderd met aquarel, zeefdrukt Glafira af en toe met de hand, waardoor deze natuurlijke taferelen nieuw leven worden ingeblazen. Ze laat zich vooral inspireren door traditionele botanische documentatie, middeleeuwse Indiase en Christelijke manuscriptminiaturen en door haar reizen. De kern van haar werk is het oproepen van een gevoel van verwondering en verbinding met de schoonheid die ons omringt.
Voor elke workshop geldt een minimumaantal deelnemers van 10. Indien dit aantal niet wordt gehaald, wordt de workshop geannuleerd en ontvangt u een volledige terugbetaling.

Mother's Day Botanical Aquarelle Workshop
Create your own botanical watercolor under the guidance of visual artist Glafira Taratynova from 'The Muses' Grove' in Artland.
Discover your passion for nature and art by translating it into a hand-drawn and hand-painted work on paper. During the workshop, the participants and the teacher will look together for inspiration, in books and the plants or fruits brought by the artist. After developing ideas, everyone starts by putting the elements together on paper and drawing the shapes. The pencil drawing is slightly erased so that it is still visible, but does not shine through the paint. Since transparency is the most important characteristic of watercolor, the group will focus on controlling the quick-drying thin layers of paint by painting on dry 300gsm watercolor paper. After this workshop you will take home a beautiful painting that you can frame and hang in your living room!

What do I take home? Participants will take home a watercolor-painted botanical work of art on 24x32cm thick watercolor paper.

Who is the art teacher? The Muses' Grove is a project of botanical and animal contemporary artworks by visual artist Glafira Taratynova. The Muses' Grove explores her passion for nature by translating moments of awe into intricate linocuts, with each cut reflecting the essence of the natural world. Glafira occasionally screen prints the fascinating scenes painted with watercolor by hand, breathing new life into these natural scenes. She is mainly inspired by traditional botanical documentation, medieval Indian and Christian manuscript miniatures and by her travels. The core of her work is to evoke a sense of wonder and connection with the beauty that surrounds us.
Each workshop has a minimum number of 10 participants. If this number is not met, the workshop will be canceled and you will receive a full refund.
